Willy was co-owned by and lived with Lynne Culley of Ottawa and what fun we had with him!! #2 male in Canada in 1992 and #1 male in Canada in 1993. Most notably, Willy was amongst the first dogs we travelled to the USA with. It was party his success that opened up many doors and introduced us to so many new friends.

Jade was singlehandedly responsible for Susan Neave's (FaerieTale PWCs) entry into the Corgi show world, and became the foundation of her breeding programme. A beautiful girl with great ring presence, she was kept from notable achievement only by her affinity for food (a true Corgi!!)
Bred to Nico she produced lovely champions including Ch Curig Oh Suzannah, Ch Curig Only You, Ch Curig Ophelia and Ch Curig Orange Blossom. Bred to Can/Am Ch Stonecroft's Second Sight ROMX, she produced Ch FaerieTale Amazing Grace.
Jade lived a long and full life, ruling Susan’s household – human and canine – with an iron paw.
No one will ever replace her.

Nico was truly one of a kind. He was bred by Lynne Wolfe in Maine, and came to live with us at Curig as a young pup. Shown by Barb in his younger days, Nico was retired to live out his years with Juliana and his daughter Nonnie.
Nico loved to show & he had a spectacular career in the ring. He finished his Canadian Championship in short order, picking up group placings in the process. Some of his Specialty wins in Canada and the US are outlined below.
Best Opposite Sex in Sweeps – Cascade Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club
breeder-judge Terry Hansen in 1996
Reserve Winners Dog – Cascade Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club in 1996
Best in Sweeps – PWCA Ontario/Quebec Specialty
breeder-judge Millie Williams in 1996.
His full sister Ch. LeftBank Curig Northern Dancer won Best of Opposite Sex at the same show.
Winners Dog – Lakeshore Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club in 1996.
First in the 12-18 month class – PWCC of America’s National Specialty in 1996.
Best Stud Dog – PWCCA National specialty in 1998.
Best of Opposite Sex and Best Stud dog – Ontario/Quebec Specialty in 1997 and 1999.
Nico was the sire of many champions including Ch Curig Oh Suzannah, Ch Curig Only You, Ch Curig Ophelia and Ch Curig Orange Blossom. His legacy lives on in them and his grandchildren.
Nico greeted everything in life with enthusiasm. At the age of 11 Juliana and Nico achieved his CD title, proving that you really can teach an old dog new tricks!

This beautiful girl with outstanding movement won first in a class of 50 at the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America Specialty in 1998! She also won Reserve Winners under Simon Parsons from the UK in 1999 at the Summerset Hill Kennel Club show and he awarded her first in the 12-18 class at the Lakeshore Specialty. Besides her Canadian championship, she was pointed in the US.

Nonnie was the reigning princess at Curig West for well over 14 years. She joined Juliana at the age of 2 while still in University. Corgiless life was just not possible any more! Shortly after, Nonnie's sire, Nico came to join the family. Nonnie was never bred, but she proved to be a sweet and caring influence on generations of babies at Curig West.
We hope that all the puppies born here have as long and healthy lives as their 'Aunt Nonnie" had been blessed with.
Nonnie passed at the wonderful age of 16.5. We thank Sue for whelping, raising, and ultimately allowing her come to live at Curig West.

A beautiful red and white girl who stayed at home — the show ring wasn't her thing. She has provided us with some lovely offspring. From her first litter, she gave us Can/Am Ch Curig Faerietale Sand Pebbles who thrilled us by winning Winners Bitch as the PWCCA National. Her second litter produced the lovely Can/Am Ch Curig Faerietale Untouchable.
She was busy again in early 2002 bred to Am Ch Royal Mark Sea Change. She had 4 lovely girls born February 4th, 2002. Her beautiful daughter, Curig FaerieTale Witch Hazel, continued the tradition by producing her own beautiful babies.

As pretty as the 3-petal flower she was named after, Trillium indeed was quite lovely and was so sweet in personality. Peggy Thomas (breeder-judge) sums her up quite nicely: “This feminine red/white has the prettiest of heads and such a sweet expression. Correct front and feet and good body length. Super quality!”
Trillium completed her Canadian championship easily and picked up a Best Puppy in Group along the way under breeder-judge Kristen Francis.
Trillium has produced some lovely puppies. Her litter by Am Ch Aberlee Storm Force gave us Can Ch CurigFaerieTale BrdOfParadise CD, Am Ch. Curig Faerietale Boutonniere, and Ch Curig Faerietale Baby’s Breath. All of these puppies grew up to be multi group winners and placers.
Bred to Ch FaerieTale Curig Foster, Trillium produced Ch Curig FaerieTale Fire Cracker and his sister Ch Curig FaerieTale Forsythia (owned by Lucie Paradis - Joska).

Pebbles lived with Susan, and was the love of her life. This girl had it all – a wonderful temperament, combined with good looks and outstanding movement – she was amazing!
Pebbles absolutely loved to show, and her record proves it. Along the road to finishing her Canadian Championship, she brought home multiple Best of Breeds, Best Puppy in Herding Group as well as adult Group placement, Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes at the Ontario/Quebec Specialty and Reserve Winners Bitch, also at Ontario/Quebec.
Pebbles’ ultimate achievement was defeating 150 Corgi bitches to go Winners Bitch at the 2001 PWCCA National Specialty under respected breeder/judge Terry Hansen. This win gave Pebbles her second major towards her AKC championship (which she finished in March/03 with 4 majors), and gave us an indescribable thrill!
Pebbles gave us a lovely litter of puppies by BISS Can/Am CH Stonecroft’s Second Sight, and we are thankful to have had Fey and Molly, as well as grandchildren Julia, Missy and Billy Joel as true legacies of Sue’s heart dog.
There is no good time to lose a friend, but this loss was way too soon, and struck us all very hard…Pebbles is gone, but will never, ever be forgotten.

Hazel started her career one day shy of turning six months old by being awarded Best Puppy In Match from a huge class of beautiful babies at the Western Reserve Specialty in Ohio in 2002. Hazel completed her Canadian championship and earned a 4 point major in the US in 2004.
Hazel's biggest contribution was her babies. Early 2004 Hazel had her first litter by Am/Irish Ch Maplecreek Montgomery and produced 7 lovely babies. We kept two of these children, Curig Faerietale Canrbury Bell and Can Ch. Curig Faerietale Cranberry. Both did well in the show ring as puppies. Their litter mate, GChEx Curig Faerietale Coriander, owned by Barbara Morrison of Sydney, NS also completed his championship in 2004 and went on to become the first Curig FaerieTale dog to win an all-breed Best in Show!
Her second litter in February, 2005 by the lovely Am Ch Byendebrok Tiddlywinks, produced MBISS Can/AM Ch Curig FaerieTale Everlasting. Jo finished her championship by going WB at the Vancouver Island Specialty and went on to win 3 specialties. Hazel’s last litter to Can Ch FaerieTale Curig Bentley PT has produced some lovely babies, most notably Ch Curig FaerieTale Gardenia. We couldn't be prouder of the puppies Hazel produced.

Sally was shown sparingly through her career in the ring. While waiting for her to grow up, we took her to a few specialties where she placed well. Her greatest win was at the PWCA (Canada) Ontario/Quebec Specialty where she won Runner Up to Best in Sweepstakes under UK judge Nic Blance. Sally matured nicely and we started showing her in early 2006 toward her Canadian championship. She finished easliy and even picked up a Group 1st along the way.
Sally’s greatest accomplishment is in the whelping box. She has produced some wonderful puppies for us in her 3 litters. Including two all-breed Best in Show winners! Sally was bred to Am/Can CH Putnam Dazzling Ffair Dalis and whelped 3 healthy puppies including Can GChEx/Am GCh C FT Highlander & Ch C FT Hawthorne. Her second litter was to Am CH Summertime Enchanted Knight giving us 5 puppies including Ch C FT Magnolia and Ch C FT Mandrake.
Her progeny to date have earned her two Best Brood Bitch in Specialty at the National and Ont/Que Section shows in 2008. Sally had her final litter to Am/Can Ch. Byendebrok Maplecreek Baccarat, CD HSAs MX AXJ VCX ROMX. It produced C FT Quintessential, C FT Queen's Cup, Ch C FT Quarter Note and Am Ch C FT Quantum Leap.

Jo was named after Grandmother du Pree, Johanna, as she was born on her birthday. Jo has spent her formative years in western Canada with Juliana learning about being a show and obedience dog. She spent her summer of 2007 in Ontario attending a few shows and she also ventured into the US to pick up a major towards her American Championship. Her limited showing, with time off to raise a litter, brought her to #2 Corgi in Canada for 2007, top corgi bitch and top corgi at breed level. 2009 saw Jo travel south again where she picked up 2 more majors at the supported entries surrounding the Western Reserve Specialty, by going Best of Breed from the classes one of the days. She completed her US title at the Eukanuba cluster in 2009. In 2014 Jo stepped into the Rally ring for the first time and obtained her RN in 3 straight trails with a High in Class. Thank you to Leanne for taking her in the ring!

Jo was bred to Am Ch Hum’nbird Jack Sparrow for her first litter and had lovely litter of 6 puppies. Four of which have gone on to complete their championships - Ch C FT Looking At You, Ch C FT Leonardo, Ch C FT Linnea, Ch C FT Lavender. Jo’s second litter was to Am Ch Sandfox Medaglia D’Oro which has given us Rowan - Ch Curig FT Raindrops on Roses to carry on with.
A fish in a past life, Jo had the pleasure of swimming in every body of water she could find between Ontario and Victoria, including the Pacific. After 3 litters and a very successful show career, Jo retired and ruled the Curig West household in her role as Matriarch. Her sudden passing left a gaping hole that will never be filled.

There can be only one.
Heath made all that met him fall in love. He was Juliana's constant companion, heart and soul, and was the office dog for a decade.
Heath was recognized both by breeder judges and in the all-breed rings. He is the record holder for most specialty wins by a Pem in Canadian history – All under Breeder-Judges! (10) And Heath was the first Pem to hold both Can & Am Grand Championship titles.
Heath was used at very limited stud, but we are thrilled with the puppies he's produced. Bred to Ch Curig FT Raindrops On Roses, they produced Ch Curig FaerieTale Dusky Willow ROMC & Ch Curig FaerieTale Damask Rose. Bred to Ch Brumbaer's Kickn' Back At Curig, they produced Ch Curig FaerieTale Black Watch and Ch Curig FaerieTale Firefly. Rowan is from Jo’s “Cinderella” litter of 3 little girls; Bibbidi, Bobbidi and Boo! Rowan has made us proud in the show ring, picking up some very nice wins under breeder judges. In addition to her Canadian Championship, Rowan also has a major (Western Reserve Supported Entry) and 9 points towards her American title. She is a sweet natured girl and loves everyone she meets.
Rowan's first litter to Heath brought us two wonderful little girls, Scarlet & Willow to carry on this line with. Her second litter was to Am GCh Calloway Kimeric Knightcap, and Sherlock has completed his Championship with style in a single weekend!
Rowan has just thrilled us with her wins on her way to her Championship.

Mellow is anything but mellow! She’s the sweetest, busiest young girl just bursting with personality and we adore her. Mellow had a brief trip to the Curig West bootcamp to learn the ropes in the show ring. She picked up 4 points and a Best Puppy In Group in her first weekend in the ring at the largest outdoor show in Canada. Back in Ontario, Mellow attended the Ont/Que Specialty show and picked up 5 more points and many more fans!
Mellow took some maternity leave for her first litter. She had 5 puppies by Heath including Ch C FT Black Watch & Ch C FT Firefly. She has since come out to finish her Championship in fine style, including going Best of Breed the following 2 days as a special. Mellow's second litter to Am GCh Linincorgi's Livin on a Prayer gave us C FT Illustration and C FT In Bloom. Her finaly litter gave us 6 lovely babies by our FT C Bentley via frozen - C FT Mini Cooper lives with Sue in Niagara.

Scarlet is one of 2 girls from Heath x Rowan. She was a super sweet girl that went out and finished her Championship by 8 months of age. She couldn't do it the easy way, but had to prove to us all just how lovely she was by taking all her points in the adult group ring!

Willow lived in Edmonton with Nathalie & Guillaume
Willow was the cutest little dog we'd had around in ages. She was just bursting with personality and was the best cuddle dog on the couch. We were thrilled with how she grew on and so happy that she completed her Championship with multiple group placements from the classes! Willow ultimately decided that she didn't really like to show. She loved the primping and preening and of course visiting all her people, but the ring itself is boring to her. Ruling the roost at home was much more her style.

Her only litter was to Am GCh Martindale Black Bart ROMX, and it brought us a beautiful all tricolour litter of 6, 4 of which went on to their Championships! We've kept GCh C FT Just Kissed and GCh C FT Jedi Knight. After growing up here, Ch C FT JupiterRising has made his way to the UK. Can CH Am GChB C FT Jon Snow has gone to split his time between CA and AK.
Willow lives on in her ongoing legacy as the mother and grandmother+ of Princesses and is behind all our current dogs.
